1. Judul: THE USE OF ENGLISH MAGIC LOTTERY TO IMPROVE THE SIMPLE              PRESENT TENSE AND SIMPLE PAST TENSE MASTERY OF THE SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI 2 SENENAN JEPARA

Topic utama penelitian ini adalah: THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE AND SIMPLE PAST TENSE MASTERY

2. Latar belakang masalah:
a. Harapan (yang ideal): Teaching English in Elementary school is focused on four language skills. Those are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Those skill are integrated with the other main language components. Those are grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. One of the materials that must be learned by the sixth grade students of SDN 2 Senenan Jepara is Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense. Most of the students have difficulties in identifying of the Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense. Therefore, the writer does the research by teaching the Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense by using English Magic Lottery.

b. Kenyaataan (yang riil): English has been already given in elementary school, even as just an additional lesson. It is important to teach English in the early age since in this phase is very sensitive phase to learn something.

 
c. Adakah data pendukungnya? Yes, there is. The Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense mastery of sixth grade students of SDN 2 Senenan Jepara taught by using English Magic Lottery is categorized good. The students' average scores are 71,10 in Cycle l ; 74,06 IN Cycle II ; and and 79,88, the highest score in Cycle III.

Teknik analisis statistic dengan rumus korelasi produk moment, karena formula of calculating mean, median,modus, deviation standard, the number of interval,range of interval.

After observing and analyzing all of the classroom action research in the sixth grade of SDN 2 Senenan Jepara, the writer can draw as follow.
1. The Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense mastery of the Sixth grade students at SDN 2 Senenan Jepara in the academic year 2009/2010 taught by using English Magic Lottery is categorized sufficient. The students' scores are 71,10 in Cycle I ; 74,06 IN Cycle II ; and 79,88, the highest score in Cycle III.
2. The effect of using English Magic lottery toward teaching Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense were inthusiasm and seriousness, in joining such kind of teaching in all cycles. Only in cycle 1 the students were not brave to give questions, since it wa the first time to join such kind of teaching, they seem to have nothing to clarify.
